We are a company that has been operating in the world of confectionery products, particularly chocolate, since the early 1970s.
The head office is in Villafranca (VR), where, in addition to a modern office structure, it has several production sites. In its plants, which are equipped with technologically advanced facilities, the entire production process is carefully followed, from the mixing of raw materials to the production of various kinds of creams or chocolates, to the final packaging of the product, thus guaranteeing a very high level of quality. Socado also has a new logistics headquarters, equipped in such a way as to allow the distribution of goods quickly and punctually in Italy and around the world.
Diversification, technological innovation, flexibility and quality are the aspects on which the company continues to focus over time, confirming itself as a constantly evolving reality and positioning itself among the leading companies in the market for chocolate products.
The range of products is really wide: pralines in bags and gift packs, chocolate bars, spreadable creams, semi-finished products and chocolate products for the confectionery industry.

Our Story
1975
SOCADO, Società Alimentare Dolciaria, was born thanks to Giuseppe Tomatis’ passion and experience. Since the very beginning the company has been specialized in the productions of chocolate-based products, epecially spreads, its core product.
1976
Socado’s production range expands with cremini and chocolate-to-cut products. Thanks to the initiative of the management, in a short time, Socado becomes a leader in Middle East and North Africa markets, gaining considerable know-how in the field of export.
1983
The company produces spreadable creams in a variety of packages: single-portion, jars, cups and buckets, up to large batches in tanks as semi-finished products for confectionery industries.
The headquarters is relocated and expanded in anticipation of a major expansion of production.
1985
The first line for the production of Chocolate Eggs is set up, with productions on behalf of major confectionery companies.
Early 1990s
The new generation begins its work in the company.After a careful induction phase, he contributes significantly to updating the range and organizing the company's structure, distribution, and activities according to evolved criteria.
Late 1990s
The current headquarters in Villafranca di Verona is built, consisting of a major production facility and a spacious office area.
The company is now significantly introduced to the modern channel.
2000-2013
During these years the company invests in production lines. Specifically, new lines are introduced, one dedicated to the production of pralines, a line dedicated to chocolate bars and a line for technologically advanced spreadable creams. Finally, a new plant is opened with technologically advanced lines entirely dedicated to the production of Easter Eggs, festivity products and gift packaging.
2014-2016
Thanks to the complete renovation of the corporate image and packaging of the entire range, Socado products acquire a contemporary and international look.
Work is completed on setting up a new, ultra-modern logistics facility, from which shipments to Italy and around the world are made quickly and on time.
Socado joins Sedex, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving responsible and ethical business practices in global supply chains.
New plans for expansion and re-organization of production lines, with the creation of a gluten-free area for the production of creams dedicated to those with food intolerances.
